Ah yes Pauly Paul Paul, the scene where the boy reads the cereal boxes will certainly go down memory lane as part of the MOST RIDICULOUS PLOT OF ALL TIME!! That being said, there was nothing to remember about that performance and thus, it is not part of the Top 3 or the Top 10 Memorable Giamatti performances. I nonetheless wish you will participate in the contest and win some FABULOUS prizes 😉

Franchement, la meilleur scène jamais filmée avec Mr. Giamatti ne se retrouve même pas à l’honneur de votre concours ! Quelle supercherie !

Monsieur Morin, mais de quelle scène parlez-vous??? Votre commentaire serait tellement plus pertinent si cette « meilleure » scène était indiquée!!! FRANCHEMENT!! Du peu de connaissances que j’ai de l’amour que vous professez envers le dit Giamatti, je vais assumer que la scène proviendrait de « Ironclad » car suite au visionnement du film vous étiez tellement « flabbergasté » par sa prestation que vous souffriez d’hyperventilation!!! Par contre, si vous suiviez mon blogue plus régulièrement, tel que promis le 6 avril dernier vers 19h (mais toujours PAS FAIT!!!), vous sauriez que la dite prestation de « Ironclad » est au #8 et que mon expertise giamattesque est définitivement supérieure à la vôtre!!!

Ah ah ! Et non ! Ce n’est pas Ironclad, malgré que Giamatti souffre d’un évident manque de conviction dans ce rôle. Je dois m’excuser pour le mot supercherie, car je comprend -désormais- qu’il me faut attendre les choix 7, 6, 5 et 4 pour savoir si le mot en question tient toujours !!

Comment ça un “évident manque de conviction” dans son rôle dans “Ironclad”??? Je me souviens très bien que suite au visionnement de ce film à Fantasia, vous n’arrêtiez pas de dire qu’il était “écoeurant”, “malade” et “qu’il a fait le film”!!! À mon avis, ces caractéristiques ne se traduisent pas en “manque de conviction”, du moins en joual québécois 😉 En tout cas, si Monsieur Morin faisait un peu plus attention, il aurait vu que le # 7 était publié au moment de la publication de son commentaire. Je n’ai pas vu aucun de ces films…c’est un guess que je fais…faut dire que j’aime tellement les concours..it is crazy!
En tout cas j,adore parce que je ne prête pas particulièrement attention à cet acteur..quoique je n’en souvienne dans Lady in the water ;-p et dans où il va dasn des vignobles..lequel était ce donc????( attention…j’évalue ta connaissance de la filmographie de l’acteur ;P…….je blague !!!!!)

Since I’ve only seen 2 of the 10 film listed I had to use a “scientific” method to come up with the top 3. I looked at many factors such as “has Johanne ever mentioned Paul’s performance in this movie before” (that had the most important weighting on my decision), IMDB ratings/Rotten Tomato ratings, nominations for both Paul and the movie. After much deliberation here is what I think the top 3 will be:
1. John Adams in “John Adams” (2008)
2. Harvey Pekar in “American Splendor” (2003)
3. Mike Flaherty in “Win Win” (2011)
Now technically per my evaluation grid the number 3 position should have been “Sideways”, but since that combination was already taken I picked “Win Win” instead. Hopefully it’s a “win win” combination for me 😉

Although I have not had the remarkable pleasure of viewing most of these movies, nevertheless my dear, here are as follows my top 3 choice. WAIT…I must say it finally feels good to overcome the sneaky threats that have come my way recently from a unnamed source. Without further waiting here are FINALLY my top three. 1) Miles Raymond in Sideways (2004), 2) Mike Flaherty in Win Win (2011) and 3) John Adams in John Adams (2008).

En ce qui a trait au rôle de M. Morin, ce n’est pas “Le sang des templiers” (soit “Ironclad” en version française), qui faisait partie de notre ridiculement long fil de discussion. En fait, M. Morin me laissera savoir quel est le célébrissime rôle qu’une fois les numéros 4 à 10 seront publiés. Mais avant ça, assumant qu’aucun de mes rôles ne correspond pas à son rôle, je tenterai de deviner c’est quoi! Donc, à suivre!

On pourrait croire que j’agis sous la menace, mais j’affirme que je souffre aucune crainte de qui que ce soit et je participe à ce concours simplement pour la culture cinématographique qu’il m’apporte. Aussi je vais réduire mon utilisation du pifomètre au minimum et ne je juger de ce que j’ai vu.
