Quel manque d’initiative Fraulein!😉

Mais merci tout de même d’avoir fait un tour sur Watts at the Movies! Mais quel effort cette semaine!!

  2. I’m super happy that Tatiana Maslany was nominated for Orphan Black, that’s the show I was telling you about a couple of months ago where the actress plays various roles as clones, she does an amazing job!

I know this happens all the time, but I’ve always wondered how is it that movies that haven’t been released yet get nominated (for example The Wolf of Wall Street)?

    • Actually, many of these films are screened prior to official theatrical release for different guilds or press groups. HFPA members got a private screening of “Wolf”, amongst other titles. I don’t know what the formal rules are with HFPA, but with the Oscars, films are required a minimum of a one week theatrical release in either LA or NY in order to qualify for the current year. That’s what the producer of “Barney’s Version” did and thus got a nod for Giamatti’s breathtaking makeup!😉
